Pilot Hill, California Wedding by Mokipotpie

I’m totally loving the homespun and charming vibe of this inland California wedding. Held at a private residence with a huge yard, the challenge for the designers and planners at Mokipotpie was to make the day feel intimate and after looking at these pretty images from Lexigraphics Photography, I think we’d all agree that they pulled it off and then some! This pretty fete is bursting at the seams with simple and sweet DIY ideas to inspire you for your own big day. Click here for more.yellow bridesmaid dresses

From Mokipotpie: My name is Kianne Hilburn. I am a wedding planner from Berkeley, CA. This summer my dear friend, Jennifer Reagan, and I planned a DIY wedding for her cousin-in-law, Reagan Reagan (she just goes by Reagan) and fiance, Brandon Ward. They are both young, free-spirited, world travelers that live to serve others in their daily Christian walk and adore their families.
The wedding took place in Pilot Hill, California at the private proper and home of the Kosct family (some friends from church). The family property, nestled between golden rolling hills, was the ideal setting complete with oak tree groves, a tree swing, chicken coup, goat pen (with goats!) and vineyards on the neighboring hills.
They wanted a wedding that represented their California (Reagan) and Texan (Brandon) roots and was distinctly “them.” Instead of a traditional wedding they opted to have the ceremony under a great oak tree in the backyard. The reception was in a field on the other side of the property. Our goal was to create a homemade, bohemian, summer wedding that was warm and inviting. Even though the wedding took place in such an open and expansive place, we wanted it to feel small and intimate. We created an “indoor out” feeling by adding vintage furniture in key areas, stacks of books (like a library) on the tables, and lights, banners and yard globes in the trees to section out and clearly define areas.blue bridesmaid dresses
