THE SAVVY WAY TO NEGOTIATE

Whatever your budget, every bride wants to make the modest wedding dresses most
of her money; but you'll catch more flies with honey, advises wedding
planner Helen Carter (helenearterweddings.co.uk)

what works"There's no harm in trying to negotiate with prospective
suppliers, but be polite and enquire whether it's possible to do anything on
the pnce rather than demand a discount," Helen advises. "But only open up
a discussion about cost if you are tea length wedding dresses genuinely interested in making a booking.
Suppliers can usually tell whether or not you're serious about their services
and are more likely to be flexible if they believe you aren't wasting their time."

what doesn't"Making up a story about being able to find the same
service for half the pnce elsewhere is sweetheart wedding dresses big no-no," she explains. "Reputable
suppliers know the industry well and know how much other wedding
professionals charge, so they won't be persuaded to reduce their fee by
an unreasonable amount."

If all else fails "If the supplier in question really can't do anything on the
fee - as small businesses, many companies don't have huge profit margins
to cut back on ask whether they can include something extra instead. For
example, if your venue won't budge on knee length wedding dresses the room hire, will they throw in a
free night's accommodation or include a free spa treatment the day before
your wedding? This can be more feasible for them than offering a discount."
